This is the 7th public release version of Miami.
Although Miami can be used without prior installation it is
VERY STRONGLY recommended that you use the inclosed Installer
script to properly install Miami.
To install Miami no need to unpack TWO archives into the SAME
directory:
- Miami21amain.lha (this archive)
- ONE OF
- Miami21aeval.lha (for unregistered users)
- Miami21areg000.lha (for registered users with a 68000/010 CPU)
- Miami21areg020.lha (for registered users with a 68020 or higher
CPU)
After that run the enclosed installation script.
Then do the following:
- If you have already used earlier versions of Miami then just
continue to use your Miami settings file. You do not have to
reconfigure Miami 2.1a in any way.
If you have not used Miami before:
- For serial connections (SLIP/PPP) start MiamiInit and follow
the instructions to configure your link. For other connections
(Ethernet/Arcnet etc.) start MiamiInitSANA2 and follow the
instructions to configure your link.
- Start Miami and import the settings from MiamiInit or MiamiInitSANA2.
- If you are using Miami in a local network that is NOT connected to
the Internet: on the TCP/IP page disable "dynamic hostname" and
type in the hostname manually.
- Save the settings
- Click on "Online".
REGISTERED USERS: You can continue to use your Miami 1.x keyfiles
with Miami 2.1a. Please install Miami 2.1a on top
of your old installation, or copy your Miami
keyfiles to the new installation directory BEFORE
running the Installer script.
Do NOT attempt to register again for 2.1a if you
already have keyfiles for 1.x.
Starting with Miami 2.1a new keyfiles are supported.
Please see the enclosed announcement
"Miami-Keys.txt" for more information on this.
UNREGISTERED USERS: If you would like to register please use the
enclosed program MiamiRegister.
Please send bug reports and comments to "kruse@nordicglobal.com".
